The Next Generation of BlueStreak Math: Meet BlueStreak V2
BlueStreak V2 is the next generation of BlueStreak Math. It's a major evolution of both the educator and student platforms designed to make BlueStreak more intuitive, impactful, and scalable for the future.
While much is changing under the hood, the core of BlueStreak remains the same. It's still the modern approach to math fluency and turnkey, hybrid intervention framework that has helped thousands of students develop the skills and confidence needed for long-term math success. And the engaging learning games and contests you and your students know and love aren't going anywhere.
What does change in V2 is how students move through content, how educators access and view data, and how much control educators have to tailor the learning experience the individual and classroom needs. The result is a more intuitive learning journey for students, improved visibility and flexibility for educators, and a stronger foundation for future innovation—all while preserving what makes BlueStreak effective and beloved in classrooms around the country.
Key Enhancements
Quicker, more intuitive learning journeys
- Updated student learning sequence: Rather than moving through all addition content before moving to subtraction, students will progress from Level 1 Addition to Level 1 Subtraction, Level 2 Addition to Level 2 Subtraction, etc., with the same sequencing for Multiplication & Division modules. This more intuitive sequencing helps students better connect the dots between related strategies and fact families.
- Accelerated progressions for mastered Levels: Students who receive Pre-Test scores of 100% in under 4 minutes will automatically advance to the next Level's Pre-Test, bypassing the Post-Test. This reduces the time it takes for students to advance through content they already know, allowing educators to uncover learning gaps from previous grade levels more efficiently and reducing the need to manually move students through modules and levels.
- More robust adaptive engine: Prioritizes recency and consistency in addition to speed and accuracy to more quickly surface learning gaps for intervention. (Will not impact equations already mastered.)
Streamlined educator experience
- Faster analytics and report generation: Upgrades to BlueStreak infrastructure improve performance of dashboards and reports, resulting in drastically less wait time.
- Redesigned educator interface: More intuitive, streamlined dashboards and reports help educators get the data and insights they need more quickly and easily.
- Weekly email reports: Reports emailed each Sunday that deliver key student data and actionable insights directly to your inbox.
- Deeper divisibility into student sprints: Click into sprints to see more detailed information about the type of sprint, time spent, equations seen, responses, and more to understand what students are working on and how their responses change over time.
Added flexibility and control
- Individual student controls: V2 adds greater flexibility to personalize the learning experience based on student needs. Turn multiplayer and language options on or off for individual students rather than entire classes. Plus, enable content tracks (e.g., fractions, decimals) for individual students.
- Expanded login options: Educators will be able to log in with Google single sign-on for quicker, easier access.
- Advanced cybersecurity options: In addition to more robust cybersecurity safeguards for all BlueStreak users, V2 also comes with the option to opt into full database isolation for an additional cost. This offers greater flexibility to align platform security with district technology and data privacy requirements.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why are you making this change?
BlueStreak V2 was developed to make BlueStreak Math more impactful, intuitive, and scalable for the future. While educators and students will recognize the same research-based approach to interventions and math fluency they know today, V2 introduces several improvements designed to strengthen the overall experience.
There are three primary goals behind this transition:
- Create a more intuitive learning journey for students: Updated progression pathways and enhancements to BlueStreak's adaptive engine help students build connections between related strategies, identify learning gaps more efficiently, and move through content in a way that better develops numeracy.
- Improve educator visibility and ease-of-use: Redesigned dashboards and contest builders enhance clarity and integrate feedback from BlueStreak customers.
- Build a stronger foundation for the future: A modernized technology infrastructure improves platform security and reliability while enabling BlueStreak to continue delivering new features and innovations in the years ahead.
What happens to my data?
As part of this transition, all districts will begin the 2026–2027 school year with a new database environment. Student data from the 2025–2026 school year (and previous years) will not carry over into the new platform.
Is there anything I need to do?
The main update needed from current BlueStreak schools and districts is on the tech/IT side. Contact us at HelpCenter@bluestreakmath.com for more information.
Will BlueStreak still integrate with Clever and Classlink?
Yes.
Will I need additional training?
While not required, we recommend additional professional development to teach you and your team how to best use updated dashboards and adapt to new student progressions. We'll also be providing video tutorials, implementation guidance, and other resources via email, our blog, and social channels throughout the coming weeks and months to support a smooth transition.
Do you have any other upcoming plans to further upgrade the platform?
Yes. Our goal is to iterate on this new evolution of BlueStreak Math with additional updates that better support third-party integrations and make it easier to share data with other platforms.
